2. Categories of Data Collected

2.1. Browsing data

The IT systems and software procedures used to operate the Website collect, in the ordinary course of their operation, certain personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. This includes information such as IP addresses, browser type, operating system, pages visited and access times.

2.2. Data voluntarily provided by the user

The Website collects personal data that users voluntarily provide by completing the following forms:

  • General contact form: first name, last name, e-mail address, message;
  • Commercial contact form (Partnership): first name, last name, company, role, phone number, e-mail, message;
  • Newsletter form: first name and e-mail address;
  • Job application form (open positions and spontaneous): first name, last name, e-mail, phone number, CV, cover letter and any additional information included in the CV.

2.3. Data collected via cookies and tracking technologies

The Website uses cookies and similar technologies to collect analytical and marketing data. For a detailed description, please refer to the Website's Cookie Policy.

3. Purposes and Legal Bases of Processing

Handling contact requests

Purpose: to respond to requests submitted via contact forms. Legal basis: performance of pre-contractual measures taken at the data subject's request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Newsletter

Purpose: sending commercial and informational communications regarding Century Italia's products, news and updates. Legal basis: consent of the data subject (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Consent may be withdrawn at any time.

Handling job applications

Purpose: evaluating candidate profiles for recruitment purposes. Legal basis: performance of pre-contractual measures taken at the data subject's request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Statistical analysis and Website improvement

Purpose: analysing user behaviour to improve Website content and functionality. Legal basis: legitimate interests of the Controller (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Marketing and remarketing

Purpose: personalisation of advertising via third-party platforms (Meta, LinkedIn). Legal basis: consent of the data subject (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), expressed via the cookie banner.

4. Recipients of Personal Data

Personal data may be disclosed to the following categories of recipients:

  • Technical and IT service providers (hosting, Website maintenance, CRM and e-mail marketing platforms) acting as Data Processors pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR;
  • Google LLC — for Google Analytics, Google Maps, Google Fonts and reCAPTCHA services;
  • Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd — for the Meta Pixel service;
  • LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company — for the LinkedIn Insight Tag service;
  • Public or judicial authorities, in cases provided for by law.

Personal data will not be transferred to third parties for their own marketing purposes without the explicit consent of the data subject.

5. Transfers of Data Outside the EEA

Some service providers (in particular Google LLC and Meta Platforms) may transfer personal data to countries outside the EU/EEA. Such transfers are carried out in compliance with the safeguards provided for under Arts. 44 et seq. GDPR (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or adequacy decisions).

6. Retention Periods

  • Contact data: retained for the time necessary to handle the request and, thereafter, for a maximum of 24 months for potential commercial follow-up;
  • Newsletter data: retained until the data subject withdraws consent;
  • Job application data: retained for a maximum of 12 months from receipt, unless otherwise agreed with the applicant;
  • Browsing data: retained for the strictly necessary period and in any event no longer than 14 months;
  • Marketing data (cookies): in accordance with the expiry dates set out in the Cookie Policy.

7. Rights of the Data Subject

Pursuant to Arts. 15-22 GDPR, data subjects have the right to:

  • access their personal data (Art. 15);
  • obtain rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16);
  • obtain erasure of their data ("right to be forgotten") (Art. 17);
  • obtain restriction of processing (Art. 18);
  • receive data in a structured format (data portability) (Art. 20);
  • object to processing (Art. 21);
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal (Art. 7(3));
  • lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali — www.garanteprivacy.it) or with the supervisory authority of their EU Member State of habitual residence.

The Controller will respond within 30 days of receipt of the request.

8. Minors

The Website is not intended for individuals under 16 years of age. Century Italia does not knowingly collect personal data from minors. Should data from minors be inadvertently identified, it will be deleted immediately.

9. Amendments to the Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. The current version is always available on the Website. Date of last revision: 8 May 2025.
